The Secret Gate by Meg Lewer – This artwork was inspired by one of my favourite Poets, J.R.R. Tolkien….. His words sing to me.

“Still round the corner
There may wait,
A new road or a secret gate.
And though I oft
Have passed them by…
A day will come
At last when I,
Shall take the hidden
paths that run,
West of the moon,
East of the sun.”

“The Secret Gate” was created using various techniques.
A gorgeous variety of acrylic pigments were used including, yellow oxide, Paynes Grey, Cadmium Yellow, Prussian Blue, Burnt Orange, Antelope Brown, Australian Gum and Titanium White.
This artwork has been finished with layers of professional grade archival varnish for extra protection, colour enhancement and a beautiful smooth finish on wide edge canvas. Edges neatly finished in charcoal acrylic. D Rings and wire attached to the back.
Painting comes with certificate of authenticity and poem.
