The Space in my Mind by Rebecca Warr

This artwork reflects my love of abstract mountainscapes in combination with my interest in pattern and stencil work. The background has been built up with beautiful flowing hues of teal, navy and sky blue. This has been contrasted with fabric collage, sewing and stencil work. Pale pink moths and dragonflies have been created using impasto and lace moulds and these have been added to increase aesthetic appeal. Finally, a semi gloss coat of varnish has been applied to ensure adhesion of the collage elements and produce a beautiful sheen over the entire canvas.
