Additional Information

The sweetest thing by Sibylle Zinnocker – A very lose and intuitive abstract piece, created in many layers of marks and glazes. My work usually starts with the idea of a colour palette and then evolves from there quite naturally over the course of many hours and many layers.

My painting style is expressive and there is no plan of the finished piece at the beginning. I simply start and see where the process takes me, which is always fun and interesting right until the end. It’s my way of being free and living without a plan in one tiny aspect of our structured life.

Through the process of layering, extra interest is added as small marks and details will show through when up close to the art, so the viewer will be engaged from far away as well as up close.

The swirls of deep burgundy and bright pink reminded me of deserts tasting like sweet cherries, hence the title.

This is an original artwork, varnished for protection and sides are painted in white. My work is usually unframed so the buyer can chose their style of framing and orientation as this is often a very personal choice.
