The HMQS Gayundah wreck remains a prominent, rusting shipwreck at Woody Point, Redcliffe, serving as a breakwater since 1958. While it is a popular, easily accessible heritage site for viewing and photography, the vessel is in a state of advanced, rapid deterioration due to rust and environmental exposure. It was a 19th-century Queensland Navy gunboat (1884–1921).
