The Firkins I, II, III

There is something about different shaped vessels that inspires me, used in so many different ways, to celebrate, to commiserate, to hold flowers, water, or just ornamental. Ancient, new, ceramic, porcelain, metal, earthenware, glass. I collect many, and although I often use them in my still life paintings, these cute little Firkins were from my imagination, using block out and mark making details in a fun and playful way they create a lovely grouping if bought together but work equally well on their own, and even more special is framed in a Tasmanian Oak Float Frame.
