There’s Lizzy by Carol Forster

Lizzy is the resident Koala at my local Bushland Botanic Gardens.  I was inspired to make this piece after a recent walk and spotting Lizzy high up in a tree.  Technique forms an important aspect of my work with joy coming as much from the process as the finished piece.   My investigations into relief printed images and surface representations of flora and fauna, using clay as my expressive medium, is further explored.

Although this piece is not watertight, it can serve as a vessel to display dry flowers, leaves or pods.

There’s Lizzy is an original, hand built ceramic, sculptural vase.
