Artist Statement: This work is a landscape of the things above and below the ground, the flowers above and the little creatures below. The beauty we see and don’t see that is all around us.

This work is Oil and Acrylic on 100X150cm Fine Belgian Linen, signed on the front and sent with an artist cv and certificate of authenticity.

This work is sealed with a conservationist Gloss Varnish and is painted on Fine Belgian Linen . Linen provides a beautiful finish for the paint and is long lasting so gives the painting posterity for many hundreds of years and the conservationist quality varnish means that you can wipe the painting free of dust if you need to which will also preserve its life and I use only conservationist varnish because it doesn’t yellow or crack with age.

The work is sent Unstretched (this is taken into account in the price and this work is on special – (work this size is normally $2800 online and $3500 in the gallery) The work is sent in a roll ready for stretching and framing (but an exterior frame isn’t necessary unless you want it) The work is painted on the sides so if hung stretched without an exterior frame it will still look lovely from any angle (no ugly white sides).

If you decide to add an exterior frame I suggest choosing a frame that matches your furniture. ie if you have natural timber choose a timber frame, if you have a lot of black trim choose a black frame. But I would not normallyrecommend a black or white frame if you don’t have a lot of black in your home – normally a soft timber is going to look better.
