This is not my beautiful wife by Karen Chappelow

A line from a favourite song -Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads and a fabulous songwriter/poet and observer of humans David Byrne.

Everything about the song and the video is so clever with the fabulous hand of Brian Eno and choreography by Toni Basil. It was apparently inspired by preachers and their sermons and how they are delivered and religious rituals.  When asked what the lyrics meant David Byrne said it was about the unconscious, operating on autopilot and just ending up where we do, without asking ‘how did I get here?’

After listening to it my mind doth wander and I wonder this same question, but taking an extra step and including our evil twin-subconscious, one side of our personality, though there are many aspects to our personality, I’ve simplified it but have used the rabbit as an analogy of the personality and the fact that they reproduce like said rabbit-I’ve kind of covered it :).

My evil twin loves wine-it’s not my fault
