Mparntwe (Alice Springs) took me by surprise. Recent rains have turned the landscape green, a beautiful contrast with the reds and pinks of the ranges. Unfortunately it’s not all good news as many of those colours signify an invasion of Buffal grass. Nevertheless, this unexpected change to the landscape required an exploration of greens in a pallette that will reflect this particular time.
Painted on the sides so will not require framing
Finished with two coats of varnish for surface protection
