Toffee Apple” by Elisha Mcguckin is a new work from unframed collection.

When I was a young girl I remember standing at a market stall selling home made toffee apples, I wouldn’t dare eat one now. Too much sugar. The colour palette and subject meant that this work had to be titled toffee apple.

The hot pink sets of the neon green squares in the background of this detailed expressive study of a juicebox, it has been 2 years since painting one and they are such a wonderful subject to paint.

For something different I have been working on a small end of year collection of paintings on marine ply, these boards will require framing and I have included a couple of examples to give you an idea of how they may look.

The painting is vibrant and a fun addition to any art collection it will hang well by itself or sit happily with friends.

The work is sealed and protected by a gloss varnish.
