This painting started life as a different piece. I loved the original figure so I kept it, however I painted over the rest.
The figure has a strong sense of shying away from something so I added the lightbulb which works, for me on a physical and metaphorical level.
It is a picture I relate to very strongly.
The title comes from a 80s one- hit- wonder song.
