I love Retro 70s Style, it’s the art of my generation. Something about the 50s and 60s always draws me in. Maybe it’s the liveliness and pizzazz that reminds me of that time or maybe it’s the resonating colours and feeling it conveys.

Mid-Century Modernism was a vision of the future and progress, a utopian way of living. A time where art aimed for expressiveness and a decorative effect. Geometry of the shapes were used to transmit energy and a lively and irregular surface gave a more tactile tone, playing with space and three-dimensionality.

Soft avocado green and black with a soft grey.  Various shapes and circles make a peaceful and chilled sculpture.

‘Totem II‘, is created with hand crafted pieces of timber which have been completed with acrylic paint and varnish.  It stands on an aluminium post and timber base with felted bottom.

Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
