Traces III is inspired by the magnificent Liquid Amber tree in my garden.

My artwork traces pathways of memory.
The not forgotten climbing tree, the magnificent fallen Fig trees, Eucalyptus and Liquid Amber leaves are imprinted and remembered vividly in my imagination.

The desire to celebrate, sing and dance, shout out my crazy love for trees is initially expressed through splashed colours, wild untamed and spontaneous painting. This is followed by a more considered process of observing collections of leaves, which guide the organic designs in the works, evoking the memory of fallen leaves.
