Trees Are Sanctuaries by Lucinda Leveille is part of the series concerning ‘solitary’ – my journey of exploring the solitary in the landscape is expanding – appearing in my works are now images of ‘sanctuary’ as a counterbalance. I like to interpret this quote as our own personal journey to enlightenment – which is an individual journey but not necessarily taken alone.

This artwork is also a reflection of the quiet before the storm and the eerie stillness that precedes the wild weather to come. The fragility, the strength and the security of a sanctuary are all here.

As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and both are painted using artist quality pigments.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I do like to recycle when I can!), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, it may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
