Tropical Skies I by Lucinda Leveille – from the series “Above The Canopy”.

One of my favourite colour palettes in a painting is monochrome.  As much as I love working with vibrant colour combinations, I also really enjoy utilising the many tones and shades of a single pigment. This is one from the canopy series that takes its colour palette from the vibrant colour of our seasonal skies – this one is from the vibrant colours found in a beautiful tropical ocean.

The artwork comes framed with a natural wood lightweight floating frame. (chilean pine) and would be perfect as a spot colour in a room.

Since  the culling of the trees outside my studio window except for the lonely gum tree, it is hard to imagine painting any other subject at the moment – but I’m reveling working in the beautiful rich and vibrant colours of Australia.

On all my work the colour continues around the sides of the piece, the paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
