Two Green frogs by Margarita Iakovleva – Etching. Limited edition of 10.

An etching from series: “For the Love of Wild Life”. Size of paper: 25.5X18.5cm.

The wildlife of Australia is a fantastic theme for any artist of any era. I love all these unusual animals, which cannot be found elsewhere the world, but only in Australia. Australia has more than 140 species of marsupials, including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and wombats. They are all so cute! Once, I even had a chance to hold a koala. I will never forget that experience. Never. I love to hear kookaburras and flying foxes and I am never angry at Possums for loud noises in the middle of the night right above my head in the attic of my house. It is just Australia in all its glory and I take it all in my heart. After many years of living here, I still think that I am living in paradise and I consider myself extremely lucky.
