Under The Sea Mermaid Ballet by Rosemary Legat – Acrylic paint, Inktense Pencils, watercolour & artist painted acid free collage paper.

This unique under the sea fantasy scene was developed from one of my wild and intuitive bases which was developed over many layers of paint intertwined with torn painted collage pieces (on acid free paper) and markings.

My early layers were the catalyst to sparking my imagination, which led to her subsequent layered details until I was satisfied with the story that emerged before my eyes.

I have taken the sea colours around her canvas edges along with a few abstract bubbles and applied a touch of varnish for protection.

Initialled on the front.
