Valentino Sheik by Sergio Paul Ianniello – Pop Art Portrait

In 1926, “The Son of the Sheik” stirred audiences and has become an iconic slice of cinema. Rudolph Valentino and Vilma Banky lit up the silver screen in a romantic fantasy that resonated with world-wide audiences. While poor-quality prints of the movie can be seen today, I considered what impact the movie had on audiences back in the 1920s. In my painting titled “Valentino Sheik”, I have recreated the famous image in a fresh way to recreate the same interest and excitement the original image brought to audiences back in the time of the film’s release.

All my paintings are on professional-quality canvas, stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang.
