At the time there were many people living out of cardboard boxes in unexpected places, some barely clinging to the motorway shoulders. The artist imagined the view from the openings of these boxes; the glamour of the yellow pinnacle and the grunge of the motorway juxtaposed. Although the situation was tragic, there was a raw beauty in the surrounding scape and the moon continued to rise over the bare LA hills. The chosen objects are honest and weather-beaten, thoughtfully arranged to tell the story. These objects were gathered by the artist from various locations, as far west as The Sturt Stoney desert. Professionally framed.
