This painting was inspired by a conversation Margaret had with a friend about dance halls in the old day ie prior to the 1980s.During those days, women would stand or sit,waiting to be asked to dance while trying to appèar as if they didn’t care whether they were asked to dance . This while the young men watched them to see if they would be safe from réjection if they did Ask a girl to dance .Margaret hopes it is no longer like this . Canvas stretched over à frame and gesse applied.Art Spectrum oil paint and gel sealing glazing used in production.D hooks applied and it can be hung but no external frame .
