This is an original and unique abstract painting. I was inspired by the documentaries on explorations and the setting up potential colonies on Mars. This paintings depicts the footsteps of those first human travellers on the red planet. The colour scheme was inspired by the red, pink and gold tones generally associated with the NASA photos of Mars. I added white dots and lines to convey that the humans are already putting their stamp on Mars by using the same geographic mapping lines that are used on Earth.
I have used professional-grade acrylic paint on a stretched canvas. The sides of the artwork are painted in light gold. The painting is gloss varnished and is ready to hang with a wire at the back. It is signed on the underside when in landscape orientation as in photo. Also a signed Certificate of Authenticity is provided.
