Growing in very wet coastal areas, the walking stick palm can be found from Taree in New South Wales to Gympie in Queensland. Jacky found this one in Mount Tamborine, high up in the Gold Coast hinterland while exploring with her children. Its unique leaf shape and draping flower spikes create a beautiful shadowy silhouette.

‘Walking Stick Palm Moment II’ has been created with a deep palette inspired by the dense understory habitat in which it is found. When hung alongside its sister piece, ‘Mangrove Fern Moment I’, ‘Walking Stick Palm Moment II’ creates a bold and contemplative landscape of the shadowy forest undergrowth.
