A large abstract expressionist painting, where I just let go and allow the artwork to emerge and tell me a story. There is no pressure nor expectation of what it becomes… Its a deep breath in and a long exhale . I really just let go and enjoy the evolution through the act of applying colour and of painting.

My abstract pieces are heavily based on my own thoughts and feelings, explored through colour and design.Wanderings was created in the hectic times of Covid, when we all had so much information being thrown at us when many of us were feeling overwhelmed. This artwork was created as my direct response to this restless and noisy world. I went to my studio to stop the noise, without any perception of what was going to evolve. Hours of silence and time to wander through my own thoughts to explore my own mind and feelings.. Bliss!

This Artwork in its soothing tones of blue ,pink and yellow create a gentle ambiance a little like sun dappled shadows. Finished loosely with some line work in charcoal, Wanderings is an interesting piece for contemplation and visual exploration.

Please note that a 10 cm border will be lost when this work is stretched i have cropped the image somewhat to reflect this.
