‘War! What is it good for?’, is one part of an ongoing series of artworks that explores the theme of peace, and the symbols we associate peace with. Each unique artwork in this edition of wall sculptures, is slip cast, or press moulded clay from a plaster mould, made by the artist. Each work is completed with a variety of glazes and decorative approaches. The original was created from hand-built clay, and a dismantled, small replica human skeleton. Each finished piece is unique, signed and numbered on the back. The message is pertinent to what is going on in the world, now. The verdict is quite clear, ‘War’ is good for, NOTHING!
