Water Lilies – Mt Coot tha by Anne Strambi

This original oil painting was inspired by Monet’s water lily paintings and having just visited his home at Giverny in France, I wanted to paint my own version of a water lily painting. I lived in Brisbane for many years and enjoyed occasional visits to the botanical gardens at Mt Coot tha where the large pond was often full of beautiful water lilies. This is my impression of those water lilies. Sides are painted to match the painting and it is ready to hang.
