INSPIRATION
A month ago I drove three hours from Sydney to Kanangra Boyd NP to do some painting. We arrived there and it started raining heavily but I decided to walk down to one of the closest waterfalls and do a monochromatic sketch. I then used that sketch as the foundation to paint full colour using reference photos and memories of the day. I love painting waterfalls trying to capture the energy of the water. In Australia waterfalls are best seen after the rains as the water will be flowing well and not just trickling.
