Wave Watchers by Sue Hill

Sue has been studying this long rectangular canvas for a while with a view to creating an ocean view scene. She loves the sea and sea vistas and the idea for this painting came from a visit to Noosa where the surfers in the waves below can be seen in the late afternoon. She has used artistic licence to create the canopy of casuarina trees over a couple sitting on a rock looking out to sea.

She began this acrylic painting on a red painted background then defined the sky sea and land areas before filling in the many details. Lastly, she added the couple sitting on the rocks in the foreground.

The painting is wired and ready to hang. The edges are painted black and it is signed on the back.
