WHAM!: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

Abstract Pop Painting on Primed canvas sheet (un stretched)

This original Mixed Media Artwork was created first by layering paint to build up the Abstract background effect.

Then Iconic animation character images were then painted over the top, with the colour palette inspired by the iconic Basquiat Skull paintings

This artwork continues my experimentation with using different techniques to apply the paint Sponges, rags, plastic, scrapers, paint pens, spray packs, stencils, pencils, in fact anything except brushes.

The artwork is a Abstract Statement Neo Pop piece and will give maximum impact to any room.

My art is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces & is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

Insitu examples are not to scale.

The work comes on quality canvas and would require framing
