Artist Statement: This work is about being with people we love, forgetting the world and being happy like children with balloons

This works is oil and acrylic on 51 X 153cm on Fine Belgian Linen, signed on the front and sent with an artist CV and certificate of authenticity.

The work is sealed with a conservationist Gloss Varnish. The conservationist quality varnish means that you can wipe the painting free of dust with a damp cloth which will preserve its life. You dont need 3 coats of varnish all you need is good quality varnish which won’t colour yellow with time or crack and peel which is why I use conservationist varnish. The work is painted on Fine Belgian Linen. Linen provides a wonderful surface for the paint and is long lasting so gives the painting posterity for many hundreds of years.

The work is sent Unstretched (this is taken into account in the price) in a roll ready for stretching and or framing. It is much safer for work to travel in a roll and then be delivered to you by the framer. The work is painted on the sides so if hung stretched without an exterior frame it will still look lovely from any angle (no ugly white sides). If you decide to add an exterior frame I suggest choosing a frame that matches your furniture. ie if you have natural timber choose a timber frame, if you have a lot of black trim choose a black frame. But I would never recommend a black or white frame if you don’t have a lot of black in your home – normally a soft timber is going to look better. Framers charges vary greatly . I use mobile framing.

All work over 100cm is sent via Pack and Send and under 100cm is sent via Australia Post Express
