“Where Exhale Waits” –  by Sharon Rynehart

It feels like I’ve been holding my breath most of the year. Through pandemics, lockdowns, health issues, family issues, home schooling…it’s been a tough year! The coast is where I exhale. Here I can find restoration, comfort, solace, quiet, calm, healing and hope. The coast is beckoning…and in the interim I’m waiting to exhale. With borders opening soon I’ve already planned my next coastal visit. Dreaming of that first glimpse of the ocean, the first sound of the waves breaking, the fresh coastal breeze against my skin, salty air filling my being, cool water lapping at my feet over fine golden sands…I don’t even care if it’s drizzly and raining. That is the beauty of the coast for me. It embraces and restores regardless of the weather.

This emotive seascape embodies the beautiful South Coast of NSW that is my second home. Created with palette knives on 500gsm Belgian Linen, framed in solid Tas Oak, this is satin varnished and comes with a COA.

I hope this special artwork encourages you and reminds you too. The coast is where my exhale waits.

Thank you for looking.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
