Where the bush meets the sea 4 by Kate Wise

Looking out to sea, through the trees, is restorative and inspiring. ‘Where the bush meets the sea, 4’ is part of series I’m developing in response to my interest in the psychological terrain of landscape painting. Looking out to sea allows space for us to ponder the big questions of life. In this painting, I’ve juxtaposed the willful action of fluid acrylics that evoke the gnarly, deeply textured tree trunks of our hardy seaside bush-land against hard edged colour blocking, as a prompt to consider what is really within our control. If you would like to delve a little deeper, you may see the trees as offering safety and protection or the attitudes and habits that hold us back and keep us in the shade.

-Original painting by Kate Wise measuring 66 x 66 x 3.5 cm

-Artist quality paints on 10 oz triple primed cotton duck canvas with a matte UV varnish

-Unframed, ready to hang or choose a frame at checkout

-Signed Certificate of Authenticity provided and painting signed on the front bottom right corner

-Carefully packaged in bubble wrap and recycled cardboard so that it arrives safely, ready to enjoy
