“Whistle While You Work” is another of my mixed media artworks addressing the recurring themes of freedom, joy, and liberation. I also enjoyed experimenting with abstraction of the garden landscape in this work. “Whistle While You Work” is an acrylic painting but also incorporates graphite, pastels, and tissue paper in the underpainting for soft and gentle variation, although they are barely discernible in the finished piece. This joyful scene from my imagination was a pleasure to create.
