Additional Information

Wings of spirit by Marijke Lambregtse is an original mixed media artwork inspired by my travels for six months through Italy. We stayed in Bevagna for three months, a tiny village in Umbria and close by was the lovely very old town of Foligno where we visited this gorgeous church, more like a Roman temple. I saw these dilapidated frescos with bits and pieces left from angels on them. Absolutely beautiful! So these were the starting point for some little artworks. I used collage from an antique poetry book I found on the local antique market. Charcoal, pencil, pastel and acrylic paint. Mounted on a deep etched museum series gesso board it either can be hung or stand up on a shelf. Sides can be painted in a suitable color too if required and block frame is also another option. Signed on the back.
