This is a painting where layers have been built up with the use of a Catalyst Wedge. Subdued pastel hues have been juxtaposed with, pink, dark emerald and deep grey to create a sense of contrast. Aesthetic appeal has been achieved in the sense of movement and folded texture. Mountain shapes have been painted across the artwork to give a sense of space. Finally, areas of the painting have been embellished with gold leaf to enhance the sense of direction and contrast. This large scale artwork would suit any contemporary space.
