Woman Reclining Amidst Controversy by Estelle Asmodelle – This work is an emotional exploration of a nude female reclining back, amidst controversy of her body. This hearkens back to when I posed nude in a men’s magazine many years ago and was labelled at ‘Australia’s First Sex Change Centrefold’. This work is painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

This work is painted with synthetic polymer and the surface is a professional-grade 12 oz canvas and has been sealed with varnish. The canvas is stretched onto an HD stretcher with dimensions 198 cm height by 198 cm in width. The artwork has been painted on the sides in the same manner as the surface and so does not need framing.

This work was created in January 2025.
