Wombat Peek A Boo by Rosemary Legat

This colourful, detailed and unique original piece was painted intuitively in a busy abstract style starting with a dark base followed by many layers of painting and scraping until the hint of an animal’s body began to show himself to me. Further layers and details added to create a world for him to hide in. My wombat was developed further before I added additional details and camouflage foliage. The countless layers provide so much depth and texture.

I have included a number of photos to show how Peek A Boo looks in different spaces and with, or without, a boxed frame (as the buyer may like to have the painting framed before or after purchase).
