W 101.6cm x H 50.8cm x 1.5cm. “Work to the heads”, is an original oil painting showing a Sydney 38 heading out through the Heads of Sydney Harbour, before turning left for the race to Hobart. I participated in the race twice, 2004 and 2005. The start of the race, is very crowded and although the big boats receive all the tv coverage out to the heads and coverage until the cross the line in Hobart, the smaller boats also have a challenging race down the coast. They are at sea for several days longer and usually see more adverse weather during the race.
The paintings sides are painted white, signature on the front with a certificate of authenticity, ready to hang with a wire on the back.
