Original oil painting of an abstract aerial view of the Australian outback, on thick stretched canvas, ready to hang. This series of paintings were originally completely unplanned as I was playing around with dirty paint brushes and paint medium, I brushed some onto a blank canvas. I liked the way the dirty colours blended together so kept working it around the canvas. I than came back with clean colour, and white. As I painted I couldn’t help thinking of all the amazing indigenous Australian art, and how much I would love to be able paint in their style. But, this is my own way of painting our country. I am not a first nation person, but I am Australian, and I love and appreciate being able to share this amazing land with the original owners.
