In this piece I have kept a very limited palette the interest is in the beautiful texture and patterns. It is a modern painting full of feeling and mood.  I have added layers of texture as I go along yet I have treated the face in a more delicate manner.  I have been influenced by Klimt’s work in creating this series and it is the type of painting that when you see it you cannot resist in wanting to run your hands over the interesting texture.

This painting comes framed, the timber colour complement the skin colour of the figure in the work.

It is on show at the moment as part of the ‘Fiercely Feminine’ exhibition at Art Lover Australia, Melbourne gallery from 4th Feb/March 11th 2023
