Zen Bird by Rebecca Warr – This artwork was produced with acrylic ink to create a silhouette of a bird in green, yellow and white hues. Areas have been blocked out in gold and black around the edges of the work to create a sense of balance and flow. Following this, an area of the background has been filled with intricate zentangle pattern to add interest and aesthetic appeal. This artwork juxtaposes the very controlled and deliberate application of pattern with the uncontrolled, free flowing nature of ink.
