The stunning ocean pools around New South Wales have inspired my recent body of work. Each one I have explored is distinctly different from another. Their shape and coexistence with the natural landscape intrigues me. Ocean pools provide swimmers of all abilities to enjoy the connection to the ocean in a safe and calming environment. No matter how crowded the pools and beaches may be, there is a natural power that seems to omit the noise that surrounds you and you feel as though a quiet calm overrides everything. The combination of inks, gouache and rock salts are intriguingly used in a free and uncontrolled way; an organic connection to the natural space that I am painting. The distinct colours used become a meaningful treatment to the way I highlight the absolute beauty of our ever- changing environment.My Limited Edition Prints are produced with parallel scanning, resulting in maximum sharpness and 100 % parallelism of the original painting.
