House on Sea Cliffs explores the spaces we inhabit and the atmosphere of place. It also looks at the desire for height and vantage point – in this instance on a cliff edge overlooking the ocean (and always a strong symbol in my artwork is the horizon). The house being a symbol of ephemeral existence and we as humans dwell on the edge of light and dark – with one eye, in varying degrees, looking to that far-away horizon.
