This week on House Rules Lenore and Bradley’s Greystanes home in Western Sydney, was transformed into a refreshed modern Hamptons oasis. Teams designed a home that delivered on elegance, opening with light and love.
The Hamptons style is sophisticated, earthy and effortlessly calming. This style is now taking Australia by storm. In recent years, the Hampton style has been influenced by a more contemporary approach. The fresh, airy palette of white- washed linen, light timber finishes, dark ocean blues, polished tile, marble and natural earthy textures are crafted beautifully within Australian homes.

Traditionally influenced by the architecture found in the luxury seaside communities along the eastern beaches of upstate New York.The foundation of Hampton style refers to elegance, bringing forth a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
Mention the Hamptons and you can most likely drift off to the thought of yourself by the pool sipping cocktails and feeling that Summer breeze. Rich blues along with contrasting greys are used throughout Hamptons design to evoke a sense of stability, beneficial to the mind and body.

The 2020 Pantone Colour of the year Classic Blue is reminiscent of the sea and symbolises refreshment. As an Interior Designer and artist myself, I have definitely seen a rise in the use of traditional tones of blue.
