Ocean Mist is a small contemporary, abstract minimalism inspired by my experience walking along the some of the most beautiful coastlines of Australia. The painting is rich with feeling, expressed with layers of thick paint. Loads of texture resembles ocean water with its ever-changing rhythmic patterns.

The palette is soft, silky blues from deeper to lighter hues with light metallic silver action-painted marks. Depending how the light falls on the painting, the colours change adding  a dynamic aspect to the artwork. A pearl-like iridescence gives the artwork a beautiful silky glow like light through ocean mist that moves with the changing light.

For ocean art lovers or those who love minimal, calming blue abstract art, this small abstract is tactile and even more beautiful in person.
