Passion II, contemporary mixed media original abstract that follows on from my earlier work Passion, both painted intuitively. Passion II is not just a reflection of my own stories but is dedicated to the passionate love story or stories we all have inside of us. These raw emotional memories with all their imperfections are expressed on the canvas with action, gestures and colourful marks.

The colours of passion and love emerged intuitively throughout the process and aptly represents the meanings often associated with the colours. Pink for true love and young love, lilac  speaks of first love, white for purity of love that of divine love and red, a universal colour of passion and love, kept me energised during the whole process. Gold leaf hearts provide a luxurious effect; gold representing a warm, happy feeling and a sense of luxury in romantic relationships.

Hand-painted, the artwork is rich in feeling, expression and movement, with layers of thick paint giving it loads of thick texture.
