Abstract landscape draws inspiration from the vibrant and ever-shifting terrain surrounding Melbourne — where rolling hills, layered skies, coastal energy, and architectural echoes intersect. Working with acrylic and mixed media, I interpret the landscape not as a fixed place but as a sensory experience, infused with memory, colour, and emotion.

The painting captures the essence of the region’s contrasts — urban structures nestled within organic landforms, the softness of eucalyptus foliage against stark geological formations, and the spontaneous dialogue between built and natural worlds. Rather than replicate the physical environment, I seek to evoke its spirit, layering expressive brushwork and intuitive marks to reflect the way a place is felt as much as seen.

This work invites viewers to travel through an inner map — a vibrant, layered journey through the visual and emotional terrain of Victoria.
