Coastal Calm is a soothing diptych inspired by the ever-changing beauty of the ocean. Built entirely with brushwork, the surface is covered in raised textured marks that flow vertically, creating a rhythmic cascade of shifting tones. Soft layers of ocean blues, sandy neutrals, and gentle greys capture the stillness and depth of coastal waters, evoking both tranquillity and quiet movement. Just like water, the colours of the artwork shift subtly with changing light, enhancing its sense of fluidity and depth.

Part of my Ocean’s Embrace series of four, these two paintings were created to bring a calming, coastal presence into modern interiors. Viewed up close, the intricate textures and layered brushstrokes reveal fine detail; from a distance, the panels flow together as a cohesive whole. They are equally at home in serene residential spaces, such as bedrooms or living rooms, as they are in professional environments like wellness centres, reception areas, or offices seeking a refined coastal atmosphere.

Each painting measures 61 × 152 × 4 cm and can be displayed side by side as a diptych or on separate walls within the same space while still reading as connected works. They can also be hung either vertically or horizontally to suit your layout. On the back, each is signed with my full name, the title, and the year of creation. The edges are painted soft grey, allowing them to be hung unframed, though they can also be professionally framed to suit your space.
