A little life by Laura Oczos – This is a large, square abstract painting was created late 2021 with colours inspired by the (then upcoming) 2022 Dulux Wonder palette. Whilst this artwork is not directly related to my current practice, it marked the first time I started to focus on creating abstract landscapes by consciously blurring details to reduce the landscape into forms and colour. This was also the first time I chose a specific colour palette, rather than working intuitively. The colours in this work are less bold than usual however there are still areas od pattern in both contrasting and complimentary colours.
