A Reflection of Colour – 1 – by Tania FitzGerald

Each step of creation of this series was a joy. The process involves multiple layers. I begin by manipulating fluid acrylic ink across the canvas, allowing organic forms and vibrant colour blends to emerge freely. Next, I apply transparent coats of paint using my airbrush and an array of stencils—ranging from botanicals to intricate patterns. Then I might repeat the previous steps again, till I am happy with the background. Next, I add some flowers or birds, some individual paint dabs. It’s an intuitive process, I don’t have a set picture in mind when I start. In fact, this painting style came about accidentally while experimenting with various materials and techniques.

This listing is for one paintings, which is also offered for sale as part of the diptych/ set of 2. The edges are painted white. It is signed on the back, varnished and ready to be displayed for years to come.
