A Reflection of Colour – Diptych – by Tania FitzGerald

Each step of creation of this series was a joy. The process involves multiple layers. I begin by manipulating fluid acrylic ink across the canvas, allowing organic forms and vibrant colour blends to emerge freely. Next, I apply transparent coats of paint using my airbrush and an array of stencils—ranging from botanicals to intricate patterns. Then I might repeat the previous steps again, till I am happy with the background. Next, I add some flowers or birds, some individual paint dabs. It’s an intuitive process, I don’t have a set picture in mind when I start. In fact, this painting style came about accidentally while experimenting with various materials and techniques.

This listing is for a set of 2 paintings (100×100 cm each), which are also offered for sale individually in separate listing. The edges are painted white. It is signed on the back, varnished and ready to be displayed for years to come.
